Potassium Fluoride acts as a glycolysis inhibitor, blocking the enzymatic activity that would rapidly reduce glucose levels, thereby preventing falsely low results. At the same time, the K3 EDTA anticoagulant prevents blood clotting; this synergy keeps the sample liquid and stable until the moment of analysis.
