Lithium heparin tubes

FL Medical Promed® lithium heparin tubes are designed for plasma determinations in clinical chemistry and biochemistry laboratories. The tube interior is spray-coated with lithium heparin, an anticoagulant that activates antithrombins and blocks the coagulation cascade, producing whole blood and plasma samples without clotting.

Recognised by their green cap, these tubes are indicated for a broad range of plasma-based tests including electrolytes, enzymes, plasma proteins, therapeutic drug monitoring and routine biochemistry panels. After blood collection, gently invert the tube 6–8 times to ensure complete mixing with the anticoagulant.

Available in polypropylene (PP) and PMMA for maximum optical transparency, in standard and paediatric reduced-volume formats, and compatible with all standard automated laboratory analyzers. Manufactured in Italy, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified.
