What is a sample cuvette?
A sample cuvette is a small container, usually rectangular in shape, used in the laboratory to hold liquid samples for analysis by spectrophotometry. Sample cuvettes are made of transparent polystyrene (PS) which allows light to pass through the sample, allowing absorbance and transmittance to be measured and then the concentration and chemical properties of the sample to be analysed.
Are the sample cups transparent or opaque?
Autoanalyzer sample cups are generally transparent, as this allows easy observation of the contents and allows the analysis instruments to correctly detect values without interference. Transparent cups also facilitate the monitoring of sample volume and characteristics.
